Trent Edwards
COO, Brookfield Residential Alberta

As COO of Brookfield Residential (Alberta) LP, Trent is currently responsible for overseeing Brookfield Residential’s Alberta operations. He has taken on various roles at Brookfield as the company has grown, including vice president of finance with Brookfield Residential Alberta (formerly Carma Developers) and chief operating officer in Australia.

Trent gained a bachelor of commerce degree at the University of Alberta in 1994, followed by his chartered accountant designation. Proud of his team for valuing partnerships at all levels, Trent is committed to taking an even more collaborative and informative approach with all stakeholders and is excited to be part of a vibrant industry in a growing, lively province. Trent is passionate about building great cities and great communities. He believes the three keys to this are: attracting, training and retaining the best and brightest; a strong and diverse economy; and lifting up those who need our help to make us all stronger. To help further support this; Trent is involved in the Management Advisory Council at Haskayne. He is also an active board member with Calgary Economic Development.

Eric Carlson
Core-founder and CEO, Anthem Properties

Eric Carlson is the core founder and CEO of Anthem Properties Group, a real estate development, investment and management business that operates in BC, Alberta and California. Founded in 1991, Anthem is an integrated team of 425 people, driven by creativity, passion and direct communication.

Alone or in partnership, Anthem has developed or managed more than 272 residential, commercial and retail projects with an aggregate value of more than $5 billion. Anthem purchased United Communities in 2014, and together, Anthem and United (now Anthem United), with their respective financial partners, have more than 14,600 homes built, in design or under construction, more than 7.75 million square feet of commercial real estate space and 6,100 acres of land for future development across western North America.

Bill Logar
Executive Vice President, Asset Management at KingSett Capital

Bill is responsible for the operations, execution and value optimization of KingSett's real estate portfolio. Bill joined KingSett in 2005 and has had responsibility for successfully overseeing property management, capital execution and leasing across all of our asset classes in addition to leading the development team, strategically planning and executing value creation programs across KingSett’s real estate portfolio.

Prior to joining KingSett, Bill advanced for eight years through Oxford Properties Group, concluding his property management career as General Manager, responsible for Royal Bank Plaza. Prior to working for Oxford, Bill worked for Fieldgate Development where he was responsible for the management of Fieldgate’s residential, industrial and retail portfolios including the leasing and execution of design build projects. Bill is the past board member and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Krek Slovenian Credit Union. He is currently a board member of the Downtown Yonge BIA. Bill holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Urban & Regional Planning from Ryerson University.

Since 2008, Jason has served as President and Managing Partner of Chatterson - a boutique real estate marketing consultancy serving all asset classes of the development industry across North America. A serial entrepreneur and industry speaker, Jason is an instructor at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business, leading their MBA program in real estate marketing.

Jason currently holds the role of Executive Director of the Real Estate Development Institute (REDI), sits on the Management Advisory Council (MAC) for the Haskayne School of Business and is an Advisory Board member and Committee Chair for the Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies. In addition, Jason serves as a board member and director for the Entrepreneur’s Organization - Calgary (EO), the United Way and the Adolescent Addiction Recovery Centre (AARC).
