L.D. SALMANSON
Co-Founder & CEO, Cherre

L.D. has extensive experience founding, advising, and investing in leading private technology companies. Prior to founding Cherre, L.D. served as Executive Director of Oppenheimer’s Private Shares Group, after Oppenheimer acquired Greencrest Capital, a firm he co-founded to enable pre-IPO transactions in some of the largest private technology companies in the world, including Facebook, twitter, and Uber. Prior to that L.D. served as the Principal of Knight Capital Group’s Private Equity Fund, and previously as a captain in the Israeli Army. L.D. earned his MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, and is a Joseph Wharton Merit Scholar. L.D. also holds a B.A., LL.B., and LL.M. in finance and International Law from IDC Herzliya.

JOHN D. MACOMBER

HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL

John Macomber is a Senior Lecturer in the Finance unit at Harvard Business School. His professional background includes leadership of real estate, construction, and information technology businesses. His teaching combines infrastructure finance (including public-private partnerships), investing in resilience (notably in the face of sea rise in some areas and drought in others), economic development, and the impact of new technologies.

Mr. Macomber is the former Chairman and CEO of the George B H Macomber Company, a large regional general contractor; and remains a principal in several real estate partnerships.

Sheila Botting

Sheila Botting recently joined Avison Young to lead the Americas Professional Services practice and align with the full breadth of services including brokerage, asset and property management, along with global operations. Sheila is also a member of Avison Young’s Global Real Estate Executive. Through her executive real estate career, Sheila has led a number of multi-disciplinary real estate teams and assignments across the industry with owners, investors and corporate occupiers alike, earning the reputation as one of the “go to” commercial real estate advisors across the Americas. She has held leadership roles with both Deloitte and Cushman & Wakefield and is an experienced industry executive.

Since 2008, Jason has served as President and Managing Partner of Chatterson - a boutique real estate marketing consultancy serving all asset classes of the development industry across North America. A serial entrepreneur and industry speaker, Jason is an instructor at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business, leading their MBA program in real estate marketing.

Jason currently holds the role of Executive Director of the Real Estate Development Institute (REDI), sits on the Management Advisory Council (MAC) for the Haskayne School of Business and is an Advisory Board member and Committee Chair for the Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies. In addition, Jason serves as a board member and director for the Entrepreneur’s Organization - Calgary (EO), the United Way and the Adolescent Addiction Recovery Centre (AARC).
