Joanna Frank
President & CEO, Center for Active Design

Joanna Frank is the Founding President & CEO of the Center for Active Design (CfAD), the sole licensed operator of the Fitwel Certification System, which was designed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and U.S. General Services Administration to enhance the health and productivity of tenants and residents in commercial buildings. Prior to launching CfAD, Ms.Frank worked for the City of New York during the Bloomberg Administration, where her positions included Director of Active Design and Director of the NYC FRESH program. Ms. Frank has also developed sustainable, mixed-use residential buildings as a Partner at Bright City Development, LLC

David Hart
President & CEO, Steinberg Hart

David Hart has over 26 years of practice on a variety of residential, higher education, and civic projects in California and abroad. He believes architecture should celebrate human emotion and play host to unique spaces for people to live, learn, work, and play.

Joining Steinberg Hart in 2002, David developed the firm’s reputation as a leader in Higher Education design focusing on aspirational, student-centered projects. He now leads the firm’s large-scale mixed-use projects in urban cores with a focus on transit oriented development, affordability, community building and value creation for clients. David continues to evolve the practice by building diverse, highly-talented teams and successfully expanding Steinberg Hart’s geographic influence.

Will Craig
Principal, Kasian

Will is Principal and Global Chair of Kasian’s Lifescape team. Lifescape, is an original way of curating holistic, ground-level experiences and adding value within our urban environment. He oversees teams for significant mixed-use, commercial, community, cultural and adaptive re-use projects. Kasian has offices in four cities in Canada (Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton) and in Doha, Qatar. Will is active with the Urban Land Institute, spearheading initiatives at both the national and local levels – Chair of ULI Alberta District Council; Member of the Redevelopment and Re-Use Product Council, Co-founder and Steering Committee Member of ULI Canada’s City Catalysts Initiative Council (CCC).

President & Founder, Chatterson

Since 2008, Jason has served as President and Managing Partner of Chatterson - a boutique real estate marketing consultancy serving all asset classes of the development industry across North America. A serial entrepreneur and industry speaker, Jason is an instructor at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business, leading their MBA program in real estate marketing.

Jason currently holds the role of Executive Director of the Real Estate Development Institute (REDI), sits on the Management Advisory Council (MAC) for the Haskayne School of Business and is an Advisory Board member and Committee Chair for the Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies. In addition, Jason serves as a board member and director for the Entrepreneur’s Organization - Calgary (EO), the United Way and the Adolescent Addiction Recovery Centre (AARC).
